City People Entertainment Awards finally took place on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the HNK Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos. Attended by a handful of dignitaries and celebrities, the 14th edition of the awards was compered by comedians Gbenga Adeyinka The 1st and Julius Agwu. It was all about the Choc Boys as mainstream rapper M.I bagged three awards for the ‘Album of the Year‘, ‘Rap Album of the Year‘ ‘Male HipHop Artist of the Year‘. Label mate Ice Prince bagged an award for ‘Song of the Year‘ while the ‘Record Label of the Year‘ award went to Chocolate City. Kennis Music act Goldie was named Best Female Hiphop Act.
