YAW AND FUNKE AKINDELE STORM ‘THE BAR’

Popular OAP, producer, actor and comedian Yaw (real name, Steve Onu) is a man bursting with ideas. The latest one to come out of his impressive mind is ‘The Bar’.
‘The Bar’ will not just be your regular comedy show. First of all, it’s a ‘satire’; serious situations brought to the audience in humorous ways. Like Yaw says “I believe a satire should be like a rubber sword. It doesn’t pierce like a real sword would; but the person it touches will definitely feel the impact”.
The audience should expect twists and turns in the performances, suggestive innuendos and plenty of meanings in between the lines of the script. But they should also expect to laugh, because at the end of the day, it is comedy. And Steve Onu is a very funny man.”
The 2-man play also stars Funke Akindele-Oloyede. Other comedians will entertain alongside musical performances from M.I.  and Iyanya. Venue is Muson Center, Onikan and the date is 6th of March, 2013. Mark your calendars!
In other news, Yaw recently premiered a new TV sitcom called – ‘Yaw’s n’ Myn’ at the Silverbird Cinemas. The sitcom will begin airing on TV stations in Nigeria, South Africa and the UK early next month.
