Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y: : Well err I've been doing music since pry school, started writing at 10 jss1, freestyling for my classmates then recorded my 1st song in 2008 I was 17

Mayowa Kay: How's the experience been so far? Do you believe or know that your music is well accepted by music fans & critics?

Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y : Mostly ups I'd say, Well its been full of ups and down.
Yeah in the short time I've been taking music serious I've gotten fans from various places in the globe, had my song remade by an internationally renowned american producer and I've had over 30,000 downloads so I'd say its mostly been a success

Mayowa Kay : Great, So what are your hobbies?

Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y : Listening to music, travelling, watching sports, movies,music videos, meeting new people, writing poetry, hanging out with friends, and getting stoned with friends(lool pls don't add)

What's a typical day in "Kid Marley''s life ?
Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y : Wake-up,pray,brush,eat,go the studio(if I got a session) or go out to chill with friends or to meet someone,come back home, watch music videos on my laptop, write a poem, eat,bathe..and pray sleep comes lool

My day isn't stereotyped tho it depends on my schedule

Wow..What's your take on artiste promotions these days? Are they getting it right or wrong?

Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y : Oh yea forgot to mention also been shooting the video for my single Go Hard! It should be out in latest 2months
Errr well its a two way thing, Many are getting it wrong and some are getting it right
Basically it has to do with the work ethic of the artiste, u don't have to wait for your management to do everything, you should come up with innovative ideas on how to move ur brand foward cos no-one can sell yourself like you would
I had no management for years after I quit my 1st management in 09 but since then I've been growing in leaps and bounds having to handle double workload of artiste and manager until just recently I signed a management contract, so its dependent on the artiste's tenacity and ambition when it comes to promo

Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y: I just 3sisters technically but I have 1 Sister by blood
Small family but I've always had cousins live with us, I'm the 1st of 2.

Mayowa Kay: Do they all support your career?

Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y : Yeah they have no objections to it. Even my dad who is a pastor supports ite ven though I refrain from asking em for funds

Mayowa Kay : A lot of artistes don't always like listening to their own music after its being released either for one reason or the other maybe a mistake or they felt they could have done better, do you get that feeling as well?

Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y : Loool I used to get that feeling but but now I've gotten used to listening to my songs..I could replay up to 20 times critiquing my work. I'm my greatest critic

Mayowa Kay : Who are/is your favorite underground act(s) ??

Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y : loool I got loads!!
I'm a music junkie and as much as I listen to blown artist I listen to underground acts.
Well amongst the plenty I listen to my friends Barzini,Paybac,Boogey then I listen to foreign artistes like ab soul,schoolboy q, a group known as vampire weekend, rockie fresh etc

The thing is I spot out artistes I like when they are underground and then they blow up with time. That was how I knew Drake, Jcole and kendrick lamar all before they got signed
Now I listen to a lot of lana del rey, nigerian acts and myself or classical music..depends on my mood

Kid M.A.R.L.E.Y : Well I'm totally all for a movement different from the typical everyday norm. I like reccess online and their new agenda in trying to make youths productive! They have 100percent support from me
