RONKE OLAJIDE POSES A THREAT FOR OUR LENS
Ronke walked in with an air of self confidence and charm. She is a pretty twentysomething with a modeling career you’d eny. She said hello to everyone on the location with a charming smile (you know that smile that spits on any resistance). She looked used to it, it works everytime. It worked here, It worked on the coca-cola and Glo billbaord too! She had come to have a talk with THE BOMB. She laughed. She teased. Good News is she loves to talk.
THE BOMB:Tell me how your career has been coming along since you kicked off
RONKE: My career has been going on smoothly and I’m grateful to God. It’s very competitive and stressful. Modeling is full of ups nd downs too,Sometimes you go for auditions and spend the whole day and not get anything.
THE BOMB:Describe a typical day in the life of Ronke
RONKE:Typical day, hmmn…I start my everyday by praying then I don’t really have a timetable I follow, if i’m not on set shooting or at a casting trying to get another job then I would be out disturbing and hanging out with my friends. Most times how I spend my day depends on my mood sometimes I can stay at home sleeeeppp and watch TV.
THE BOMB: Do you think modelling is misunderstood?
RONKE: Yes modelling is misunderstood, in Nigeria especially.
THE BOMB: What is the best advice you have ever received?
RONKE: Be courteous to all, intimate with few and make sure the few are well tried before giving your confidence
THE BOMB: Who is your celebrity crush and why?
RONKE: I have plenty o, but I will go with Channing Tatum and Vin Diesel, Channing Tatum is cute and I love Vin Diesels voice and the way he acts… Awesome!!
THE BOMB: What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome as a model? How did you overcome it?
RONKE: The biggest challenge I think I faced was combining med-school with modelling, ‘twas crazy at a point I was getting carried away wiith modelling then I started losing interest in school and I learnt my lesson. Hmmn I overcame that by Gods grace my mums support and my determination to get a degree which is like one of the few things no-one can take from you. Then I also made up my mind when to put one before another.
THE BOMB: What would you love to do in modelling that you haven’t done yet?
RONKE: I would love to do runway modelling that means I have to starve myself for a year (laughs) to be a size 2 and m not that tall.
THE BOMB: What does a man have to do to win your heart?
RONKE: Most importantly he has to be God fearing. Then he has to be very romantic friendly caring, funny, very naughty (in a good way) then he has to be a good listener
THE BOMB: If I gave you the license to brag what achievements will you talk about?
RONKE: I don’t like bragging because I have not gotten there yet but by Gods grace I will. But I have tried sha, I have been opportuned to model for some big brands Lik coca cola, globacom, Etisalat, maggi, calypso, harp,Fidelity bank, interswitch and I was first runner up sisioge pageant 2009 nd so on
THE BOMB: Which do you prefer the Cydm-read-your-ping-I just-liked-post guy or the walk up to a lady kind of man?
RONKE: Definitely walk up to a girl kinda guy

TEAMIB LICENSED TO SHOOT
Everyone has got a camera but not everyone
has got a passion for photography. From borrowing a camera for his first
shoot ever to bagging a couple of hot jobs in the metropolis, Taemib is
one guy who has the license to shoot and he has murdered a couple of
photographs. What are his influences? ” I choose stuff that influences
me, because I’m easily influenced” He told us in a moment of
seriousness. If Taemib is not capturing his imaginations he
is skateboarding, playing basketball. On this barmy afternoon he joins
THE BOMB for a chat.
TAEMIB: My career has been revealing over the years because every
single job I take on, I learn something new, no matter how small
THE BOMB: Describe a typical day in the life of Taemib
TAEMIB: My day always starts with a black cup of coffee (lots of
sugar), I like to plan my day depending on what I’m doing besides the
business side I’m a cool calm and connected individual. (smiles)
THE BOMB: Do you think photography is misunderstood?
TAEMIB:No I don’t think so because different people venture into
photography for different reasons (memory, commercial, hobby) eventually
everybody is entitled to their opinions and views. That is because you
own an expensive camera doesn’t make you a professional photographer.
THE BOMB: What is the best advice you have ever received?
TAEMIB:The best equipment doesn’t necessarily get you the best
photographs, it’s the understanding, mastery and control of light
whatever make or type
THE BOMB: Who is your celebrity crush and why?
TAEMIB: Penelope Cruz, apart from being very attractive, she’s got this confidence I find very sexy
THE BOMB: What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome as a photographer? How did you overcome it?
TAEMIB: Dealing with clients. My experience overtime has moulded my ability to deal with clients effectively.
THE BOMB: What would you love to do in photography that you haven’t done yet?
TAEMIB: Doing a documentary (photographs) in a village in a chosen Asian country(Japan)
THE BOMB: What does a woman have to do to win your heart?
TAEMIB: She’s got to jazz me ooo (Laughs)! Okay, on a real tho
apart from the face and body game being on a 100, I’m a sucker for a
girl that can cook (like really cook), I like a woman with confidence.
I’m a sapiosexual.
THE BOMB: If I gave you the license to brag what achievements will you talk about?
TAEMIB: Well I’m not one to brag .. Because I don’t believe in
resting on past laurels, but in any case I’ve done private exhibitions
for some of the elite of this
country, hotel photography for the ‘best western’ group of hotels and more
THE BOMB: Which do you prefer the Cydm-read-your-ping-I just-liked-post girl or the walk up to a man kind of lady?
TAEMIB: No, I just like the old, traditional way. I’ll walk up to a lady anyday, anytime, anywhere. Not an issue
